Zubaida Apa, The Queen of Spices was born to a urdu speaking family in 1945 in Hyderabad Dacan in India. She later on migrated to Pakistan after Independence. She was the second child of the family among 10 siblings.She Married to her first cousin Mr. Tariq at the age of 21. She was from the well known family including great personalities like Surayya Bajiya and poetess Zehra Nigah.
Queen of Spices, Zubaida Apa Died
Zuabida Apa died on 4th January 2018 at the age of 73 years. Her Funereal was held after Friday Prayers on 5th of January 2018 in Sultan Masjid of DHA Phase VII. Hundreds of people attended her funereal prayers. She passed away after a very short ailment. She suffered from heart attack which took her life.
As per details from her family, she suffered from heart disease since last four months and was on medication however last night's heart attack was severe which took her life. "May Her Soul Rest in Peace"
Funeral prayer was attended by many renowned TV anchors, poets, artists and actors. She was a very much familiar face at Hum Masala, she taught hundreds of recipes to thousands of people. This is the reason that she was loved by every cooking geek of Pakistan and worldwide.
Her Books for cooking were demanded worldwide, moreover her day to day tips for easing life were also very handy.
"She never went to any university for cooking course, she was all in one shop of cooking recipes in herself" said Parvez Ishtiaque , Hum Masala TV's Head.
Zubaida Apa's teachings and Totkay will always will remembered in hearts, her services for well being and for country will always be remembered. Pakistan lost the queen of spices.
